Research, Investigate and Compile (RIC)

Project RIC Update

As of September 1, 2023, The Liberation Foundation is unfortunately no longer reviewing new cases due to internal resource allocation. Please do not submit any new cases for The Liberation Foundation’s review.

Connecting Clients to Legal Aid

Project RIC is the advocacy branch of The Liberation Foundation. The primary focus of TLF, Project RIC aims to advocate for incarcerated people claiming innocence or wrongful conviction. We do this primarily by partnering with lawyers and investigators on a pro bono basis to investigate claims of innocence, wrongful conviction and disproportionate sentencing.

Investigating Claims

A team of  pro bono lawyers, student volunteers and investigators work to further examine the details of a client's case and conviction, gathering new evidence and compiling a memorandum to advocate for justice.
